Job Description:

Brief Description: From establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you'll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal.

More about Works Delivery Track: You'll manage a team responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the track network (Permanent Way or P-Way) to ensure safety and efficiency. This involves working with rails, sleepers, ballast, drainage, and ancillary structures.

Internal Candidates Note: There may be a requirement to work on call if you choose the Standard Maintenance contract.

About the role (External):

You'll direct, organize, and motivate a high-performing team. From inspection to maintenance, you'll play a hands-on role, ensuring high standards and safety. You'll establish safety arrangements, ensure compliance of assets, vehicles, and equipment, and compile vital reports.

  • Experience in organizing and controlling safe and efficient work delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
  • Knowledge of standards, procedures, and instructions
  • Leadership qualities with a clear sense of direction
  • Hold or be working towards NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent experience
  • Willing to drive vehicles as required

This role involves working days, nights, and weekends. It is a safety-critical role requiring drug and alcohol testing and a medical assessment.
