Team Leader (Works Delivery Signalling) - Swindon Westmead Depot

Join Network Rail as a Team Leader in Swindon Westmead Depot, where you'll oversee the safe and efficient delivery of signalling work, including inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.

Role Overview

As a Team Leader, you'll lead a high-performing team, ensuring safety standards are met, work is completed efficiently, and assets are compliant. You'll coordinate activities involving signals, level crossings, and points systems, developing technical skills across manual, electrical, and digital equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and control safe and efficient work delivery
  • Maintain high standards of safety and quality assurance
  • Lead and motivate your team, fostering a safety-conscious environment
  • Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and instructions
  • Compile reports and manage resources effectively

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing safe work delivery and control
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
  • Understanding of relevant standards and procedures
  • Leadership qualities with a clear sense of direction

Desirable Skills

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field or relevant experience
  • Driving license (category B)
