We are seeking a Team Leader for our Tova residential home to join our friendly team within Ravenswood Village. Tova is a residential service supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee care and support delivery within the home, ensuring high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, team player, and possess strong leadership and time management skills. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, supportive, and energetic team within an ambitious charity that values its staff and the work they do.

About Norwood:

Founded in 1795, Norwood is the UK’s oldest Jewish charity supporting neurodiverse children, their families, and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities. It has received Royal Patronage since 1815 and partners with local authorities to provide residential and supported living accommodations, short breaks, and family support groups.

About Tova:

Tova is a ground-floor home supporting seven individuals aged from early twenties to late sixties, all with severe learning disabilities, epilepsy, and physical support needs. Many residents do not communicate verbally but use alternative methods such as objects of reference, facial expressions, and Makaton. Residents require high levels of support in personal care, mobility, meals, and activities, including hobbies like swimming, arts and crafts, baking, sensory sessions, and outings.

What Norwood offers:

  • Fully Paid Induction: Support from day one
  • Workplace Pension Scheme: Secure your future
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (FTE)
  • NVQ Level 2-5 Health & Social Care Qualification: Enhance your skills
  • Employee Assistance Programme: We care about your well-being

  • Free Eye Test & Eyewear Allowance
  • Blue Light Discount Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Typical Shift Times: 07:00/08:00/09:00 – 19:00/20:00/21:00

Essential Skills:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Experience in person-centred planning and risk assessment
  • Willingness to swim and support residents in hydrotherapy pools
  • QCF Level 3 or NVQ Level 3, or willingness to work towards relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Strong leadership skills and experience
  • Full, clean UK driving license
