Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Team Leader/Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Passenger Assistance Services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, efficient, and compassionate service for passengers with reduced mobility, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and team coordination.

Please note: This is a mobility assistance role, not a check-in position.


Start Dates:

  • 27th May 2025


What’s on offer:

  • Pay Rate: £14.28 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 5 on, 3 off (this includes both weekdays and weekends)
  • Weekly Pay.
  • Temp to Perm opportunity based on performance.

Example Rota:

  • Day 1: 04:30am to 14:30
  • Day 2: 04:30am to 14:30
  • Day 3: 09:30 to 18:00
  • Day 4: 12:30 to 21:00
  • Day 5: 12:30 to 21:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team delivering exceptional assistance to passengers with reduced mobility throughout the airport, including walking, wheelchair, and electric buggy support.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure timely and friendly service is consistently delivered.
  • Support team members in assisting with passenger luggage as required.
  • Oversee and conduct daily equipment inspections, ensuring all mobility aids and vehicles are clean, functional, and ready for use. Promptly report any faults.
  • Manage accurate and timely communication with Central Control via handheld devices, relaying updates and responding to operational changes as needed.
  • Ensure all team paperwork and reports are completed correctly and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Act as a point of escalation for issues, resolving problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and training to new and existing team members to maintain high performance and service standards.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by senior management.


What you’ll need:

  • Aviation experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a customer service or airport operations environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate, helpful, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations, especially regarding mobility equipment and manual handling.
  • Competence in using handheld communication devices and basic IT systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
