What you will do
  • Lead and manage shifts in a residential children's home, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective service delivery.
  • Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Managers in managing day-to-day operations while promoting the home's ethos.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to uphold the vision and values of the service and the Council.
  • Conduct daily monitoring and audits, including medication management, to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Support educational attainment and work collaboratively with agencies for the best outcomes for children.
  • Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Encourage children to manage risks responsibly and take ownership of their lives in ways appropriate to their age and abilities.
  • Plan and coordinate activities to meet the unique needs and interests of the children.
