We are currently recruiting for: Team Leader (3 positions)

The Role:

Riverbank Cottage offers a psychologically informed, therapeutic environment to support young people with complex trauma based behaviour. The service will provide three components which include Residential Care, Education and Health offer.

In consultation with the Registered Manager, the Team Leader will assist in managing the overall daily operations at Riverbank Cottage working with children and young people in a residential setting. Key accountabilities will include:

• Providing direct line management to a small number of Childcare Workers.
• Developing and implementing care and risk plans based on individualised children’s needs in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management, and education settings.
• Modeling best practice in terms of providing high-quality care for young people.
• Being well-versed in children’s homes legislation, regulations, and inspection framework, to support the safe and effective delivery of care.

The Person:

The successful applicant will have:

• Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent)
• Experience working with electronic care records and auditing processes within the care system
• Excellent administration and IT skills
• Excellent communication skills, including first-rate literacy and numerical skills
• Knowledge of current child care legislation related to children in care, and working knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children’s Homes and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
• Significant experience working within a childcare setting (ideally residential)
