Team Leader - Residential Rehab

A vacancy has arisen for a Team Leader based at our Chy Residential Rehab project in Truro, working as part of a successful management team.

The successful applicant will take a positive approach to working in a dynamic environment and be committed to providing meaningful services to those who come to our service. The Team Leader at Chy works alongside the Service Manager and will offer line management to the project's residential support workers.

Job responsibilities

The Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of residential support workers and working alongside the Service Manager. Chy provides a 12-week residential programme offering a range of trauma-informed approaches. The main house can accommodate up to 18 residents, with the option of an additional 12 weeks for those who require additional therapeutic interventions and support. As part of this role, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends - further details will be provided at the interview.

Qualifications
  • An understanding of the issues facing drug/alcohol misusers or clients experiencing common mental health problems
  • Knowledge/understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the health, social care or substance use setting
  • Successful track record of management responsibility and development of others
  • Resilience, ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and manage competing/conflicting demands
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
