Team Leader Residential Childcare Worker - Leominster

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our team in Leominster (near Hereford). We offer a supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and mentor: Supervise and support a team of care staff, ensuring high-quality care and a safe environment.
  • Promote well-being: Build positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and personal development.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure children are protected and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Care planning: Implement individual care plans and contribute to reviews.
  • Operational support: Contribute to the smooth running of the home, including staff recruitment and training.
  • Crisis management: Respond to challenging situations, applying de-escalation techniques.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in a similar role within a children's residential home or care setting.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management (if not already qualified).
