Vulnerable children in the UK need your help
Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you'll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
Last year, we helped more than 687,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
Working here is more than a job. Everyone in the Action for Children family is passionate about protecting and supporting children. It's the sense of purpose that drives us every single day. Because we know that, when we work together, we can make a huge difference to bring lasting improvements to vulnerable children's lives.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our new residential service at Stoneside (G43 1JF), providing high-quality residential care and support for a young person with learning disabilities and complex needs.
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and managing a dedicated team within the residential service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred support. You will provide guidance, supervision, and leadership to staff, fostering a positive and nurturing environment where the young person can thrive and achieve their full potential.
We support a young person who may, at times, present behaviours that can be physically and emotionally challenging, alongside a range of complex needs. This means we are looking for someone who is emotionally resilient, able to remain calm under pressure, and committed to providing compassionate and consistent support when it is needed most.
If you are looking for a role where you can lead a team, shape a new service, and make a genuine difference to a young person's life, this could be the perfect opportunity.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service from the beginning, helping to shape and develop a high-quality home while making a lasting difference in a young person's life. Alongside supporting and developing your team, you will help ensure the young person receives support with daily activities, developing life skills, medication, personal care, and opportunities to build independence, confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:
