Brief Description

From establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you'll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.

About the role (External)

You'll direct, organise, and motivate a high-performing team. Your role includes inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal tasks. You'll ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards, with safety as a priority. You'll establish safety arrangements, ensure compliance with safe systems of work, control and check the quality of work and competence of your team, and ensure assets are compliant and all equipment is fit for purpose. You will also compile vital reports.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in organizing and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
  • Strong leadership skills with a clear sense of direction
  • Hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have equivalent relevant experience
  • Willingness to drive vehicles as required

This role involves working days, nights, and weekends, and is a safety-critical position subject to drug and alcohol testing and medical assessment.
