Job description

Job Title: Team Leader (Nights) at Rowan, David Lewis – Join Us and Make a Difference!

Hello! I’m one of the people who lives here at Rowan, and I want to tell you about an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Team Leader on nights. We’re looking for someone special to support us in our home at David Lewis, where we’re all about creating a space where we feel safe, supported, and respected.
You’ll be the heart of our team, leading and supporting staff who help make our lives better every day. We're a small but mighty team, supporting just two of us, so we need someone who can balance leading shifts with being hands-on and working alongside the team. You'll be the first point of call for the staff, and we’ll look to you to create opportunities for us to grow, learn, and enjoy life in our own unique way.

What we're looking for:
  • Proactive & Flexible: You’ll be leading by example, but also rolling up your sleeves and working the shifts alongside the team, so you’ll need to be able to manage your time and priorities well.
  • A Great Communicator: You’ll be the one staff turn to, so being able to communicate clearly with everyone is essential – think outside of the box and find ways to keep things running smoothly.
  • Creative & Fun: We need someone who can think on their feet and bring fresh ideas to help us live our best lives. Whether it’s coming up with fun activities or making sure everything runs smoothly, we’ll look to you to make things happen. You’ll think of your own ideas, but, to get you started, we love Swimming, Skiing, Theme Parks, Sensory Rooms, outdoor parks (no matter what the weather!).
  • Bubbly Personality: It helps if you’re friendly, outgoing, and easy to talk to – we want someone who’s not afraid to bring energy and a positive attitude to everything they do.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a team of support staff: You’ll be a strong leader, making sure everything runs smoothly while fostering a positive, supportive environment.
  • Support us in our daily activities: From assisting with personal care to helping us take part in activities, you’ll be right there, working with us to make our home a great place.
  • Create opportunities for growth and development: It’s not just about supporting us with day-to-day tasks – it’s about finding new ways to help us grow and enjoy life!
  • Be the first point of call for your team: We’ll need you to be the go-to person for staff, answering questions and offering guidance to help them provide the best support.

Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK: Please make sure you have the appropriate right to work in the UK before applying; we do not offer sponsorship for this role.
  • Driver’s licence: A full UK driving license is a must, as driving is an essential part of the role.
  • Proactive and organised: You’ll need to manage shifts and staff while still being hands-on in the day-to-day support.
  • Shift hours: 21:00pm - 07:45am.

We know the perfect person is someone who is team dedicated, has a positive outlook, and can make a difference in our lives. If you’re looking for a role where you can really make an impact and work alongside a small, supportive team, then we want to hear from you!

Come and be part of our home – let’s make it amazing together. Apply now!
