Job description

We are looking for a full-time Team Leader (formerly Senior Support Worker) for our Angus Service.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience supporting individuals within care and either hold or be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to be considered for the role. A Driving License is also required.

About The Role

Our Team Leaders are frontline management staff, with responsibilities in three key areas:

Staff Management
  • Coaching and mentoring staff, providing support and supervision.
  • Identifying and arranging training needs for your team.
  • Creating monthly rotas, managing budget, holiday cover, and staffing hours.
  • Supporting team development in producing support plans.
  • Covering on-call shifts as needed.
Supported Individuals
  • Planning and facilitating meetings to develop effective support plans.
  • Matching supported individuals with staff based on goals and outcomes.
Organisational
  • Liaising with external agencies, including families and Social Work Services.
  • Ensuring compliance with SSSC, Care Inspectorate, and internal standards.
  • Representing The Richmond Fellowship Scotland positively in all external interactions.
