Job Opportunity: Team Leader in Method Development at Labcorp

Do you have experience working in a chemistry lab and are seeking your next career move? Are you interested in working for a global leader in Environmental research within a dynamic and growing team? If so, Labcorp is looking for a Team Leader in Method Development at our Shardlow site in Derbyshire.

Labcorp is a leading global life sciences company committed to improving health and lives. Our Environmental teams have been supporting the crop protection, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries for over 40 years by analyzing crop protection and industrial chemical residues in environmental samples to help protect human and animal health.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Leading a team of method developers to develop and expedite analytical methods.
  2. Providing guidance on methodology relevant to the department.
  3. Ensuring methods are developed efficiently regarding time, personnel, and resources.
  4. Driving continuous improvement in method development, reporting, and presentation.
  5. Staying updated with current developments in Ecotoxicology.
  6. Exploring new technologies beneficial to the department.
  7. Serving as a key SME advising clients on Ecotoxicology methodology.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Chemistry or related field; experience may substitute for education.
  • Extensive instrumentation experience, especially with LC-MS/MS.
  • Knowledge of GC-MS, HPLC-UV, GC-FID, ICP-MS is advantageous.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry laboratories and familiarity with GLP is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and manage resources effectively.
  • Line management experience and strong client interaction skills.
