Job description

To effectively coordinate Mowi's Packaging Store and Distribution operations, ensuring an efficient order turnaround that meets targets while controlling stock. Nature and Scope:

This role encompasses general responsibility for all warehouse buildings, surrounding areas, and functions within the Stores locations.

The role involves developing team members by identifying their development needs and providing training to meet team and individual objectives.

It requires hands-on activity and, along with other supervisors, has implicit responsibilities for achieving Mowi's overall aims.

Key Areas:

  1. Receiving/Put-Away: Safely unload inbound deliveries and move products to storage locations.
  2. Operate MHE to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
  3. Ensure all incoming packaging and dry goods meet standards, specifications, and purchase orders.
  4. Count, check, and record all incoming products on the stock control system.
  5. Label and record stored products accurately, ensuring security and proper rotation.
  6. Maintain effective stock management and reporting systems.
  7. Conduct regular physical counts, report and reconcile variances, and input data accordingly.
  8. Keep warehousing areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  9. Organize storage space and suggest improvements.
  10. Pick and deliver stock to production as needed.
  11. Supervise the Stores team, including training, development, and managing absences and overtime.
  12. Ensure staff supervision meets service requirements, including managing absences.
  13. Perform safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions, reporting findings to the Line Manager.
  14. Maintain equipment through proper operating procedures, troubleshooting, and scheduling preventive maintenance.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager and Senior Management.

Additionally, the role involves adherence to Health and Safety, Environmental legislation, Quality standards (HACCP, Hygiene), and operational standards, including 5S practices.

Achieve operational targets related to volume, order accuracy, stock count accuracy, and delivery quality. Maintain high customer service levels and deliver area objectives, projects, and personal development plans.

Foster a sustainable, engaged workforce through regular communication, managing absenteeism, and motivating staff.
