Team Leader - Children's Residential Home

Location: Derby

Salary: £31,155 - £33,050 per annum

Hours: Full-Time Permanent

Are you ready to step into a leadership role where you can truly make a difference?

We are looking for a committed and proactive Team Leader to join a friendly team in a children's residential home. Please note: experience of working in an Ofsted-regulated home is essential for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) looking to develop their skills and contribute to a high-quality, child-focused service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of Residential Care Workers.
  • Ensure that the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and young people are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Responsibility for safeguarding and promoting individual rights, providing good quality care, which is free from oppression, and where differences are respected and valued
  • Act as a role model and mentor to our Residential Support Workers, providing guidance and support as required.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure that all records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date
Requirements
  • Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children's residential setting is essential.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Leadership qualities with a supportive and resilient approach.
  • A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
