Within Dundee we have developed a dynamic, person centred Health Visiting Service. We pride ourselves in supporting staff and our colleagues to be the very best they can be. There is a large amount of development work within the Service and all Teams work towards being autonomous and solution focused, working in collaboration with their families and partner agencies.

Caseloads within the city are mixed with areas where there are pockets of deprivation. This creates opportunities to work closely with families, using person centred, Solihull and Motivational Interviewing approaches. Our staff are dedicated and committed and as such their response to meeting the demands of the Scottish Universal Health Visiting Pathway has always been positively reflected in data analysis.

We are seeking Specialist Community Public Health Nurses - Health Visiting or equivalent qualification to apply for the post of Team Leader. We are seeking a solution focused professional Health Visitor who possesses vision and who is keen to develop self and others. You must be able to demonstrate your leadership skills and abilities.

The successful candidates will have a key role in providing Leadership, support and positive role modelling .We are driving forward the development of positive cultures giving guidance to Health Visitors and Early Years workers within the Service. The aim is to enable a trauma informed workforce who embraces their commitment to improve outcomes for children and families. You will work closely with the Senior Nurse to evidence and meet both local and national priorities. You will be expected to provide leadership support across Tayside as required but primarily focussed on supporting and leading your allocated Dundee teams

The HC service works within the Scottish National Framework of GIRFEC, the Children & Families (Scotland) Act 2014 and the responsibilities of the Named Person function.

It is expected that the successful candidate will work closely with their Teams, to support, empower and develop positive, person centred and solution focused individuals and Team Cultures. Travel between sites and across Tayside will be required. You will be supported, and developed within this role.
