What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them manage their emotions.
Essential qualities include resilience, effective communication, and the ability to utilise a variety of communication tools.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users in learning and developing independence skills, including shopping, cleaning, personal care, community access, budgeting, and medication management. We encourage staff to bring their humour, fun, and creativity to support our service users in daily life.
Greater Manchester Complex Care Supported Living Service; Moston
Praxis Care is opening new supported living services in Greater Manchester, working in partnership with Ideas Alliance to involve service users, families, and community partners in service design and delivery.
Initial services will be based in Moston, with plans to expand to areas preferred by service users. We aim to provide tailored care packages for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues, many of whom require support reintegrating into community living.
Opportunities for career progression exist, including roles such as Team Leader and Assistant Manager, with training and support provided. The office is located outside Bury town centre, but staff will primarily work from service users' homes in the community.
Praxis Care supports individuals with mental health issues, autism, learning disabilities, and dementia, providing high-quality, innovative support services across multiple regions.
We provide comprehensive training before employment, lasting two weeks, covering all necessary information and skills.
Full-time, 39-hour contract. Salary depends on qualifications and experience. Sleep-in payments of at least £45 per night apply where relevant.
Requirements: Must have the legal right to work in the UK and a valid driving licence.
