Based in Belfast

We are currently hiring for the role of Team Leader for a support organization. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Service User of Mental Health Services, along with 1 to 3 years in a Team Leader or Supervisor role, and a desire to make a positive impact on those experiencing mental health challenges.

The Team Leader will support the Belfast Manager and lead a team of Peer Advocates, ensuring effective service delivery and high standards. The role involves working with adults facing mental health difficulties, supporting their recovery, and promoting independence through support, information, and options. The Team Leader will also oversee Peer Advocacy and ensure the service user’s views inform practice.

Essential Criteria:

  • Lived experience as a user of mental health services with achieved recovery
  • Knowledge of the needs of individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
  • 1-3 years in a team leader or supervisor role
  • Level/Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online meeting platforms
  • Completed or willingness to undertake accredited Peer Advocacy qualification
  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Mental Health Sector
  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organization
  • Post-secondary school qualification
