Can you demonstrate organisational skills such as theatre time management, task prioritisation, and developing others through effective clinical managerial and leadership skills? If so, this post is for you!

We encourage multi-skilled professionals within our specialty and offer training in both anaesthetic and surgical areas. Our theatre teams work passionately from Monday to Friday and handle on-call emergencies during weekdays and weekends.

With state-of-the-art technology, opportunities for staff skill development, and modern working environments, we offer a dynamic workplace.

  • You will be responsible for setting standards and supporting your team to meet them, aligning with the Trust’s values and ambitions, prioritising patient safety and experience.
  • You will undertake floor control, coordinating theatre activity to ensure 24/7 service delivery and serve as a contact point for wider site and Trust-wide actions.
  • Provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multidisciplinary team within your area.
  • Act as an expert clinical practitioner, delivering high-quality care through yourself and your theatre team.
  • Serve as a clinical and managerial role model within the theatre team, CMG, and across the wider organisation.
  • Ensure a supportive learning environment for students and newly appointed staff within your theatre area.
  • Practice clinically in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, spending at least 80% of your working time in theatre-based clinical practice, or as negotiated.

Our new strategy, developed with input from colleagues, patients, and partners, guides us from 2023 to 2030 with four primary goals:
