Were currently recruiting for a Team Leader on a Fixed Term Contract to cover our Day Shift, based at our site in Aylesbury on our contract with Arla (Dairy). We run a large fleet with 100 vehicles, and 200 drivers.This is working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 6am to 6pm.

What youll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Shift Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
  • Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
  • Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Its important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
  • Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment
  • Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
