Team Leader - Days and Nights at Ruddington Manor Care Centre. Full-time, Permanent position.

Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Wilford, Nottingham. Registered to provide care to 66 residents with various needs including residential and nursing care. Rated GOOD by CQC. We uphold high standards of safety, comfort, and care, and enjoy a good local reputation. We employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, with zero agency usage for over 5 years. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

We seek a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to support the Home Manager and Deputy in leading the care team and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. The role is full-time with an excellent hourly rate of £13.75. Shift times are 07:45-20:00 or 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekends. Applicants must have medication management and administration experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Promote high standards of person-centred clinical nursing care.
  2. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care during shifts.
  3. Demonstrate person-centred care delivery as a role model.
  4. Safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility.
  5. Manage delivery of personalised care as per care plans.
  6. Support professional standards within the home.
  7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
  8. Ensure effective assessment, planning, and evaluation of resident care.
  9. Maintain accurate records as required by regulations.
  10. Manage rotas and delegate workload ensuring safe staffing levels.
  11. Complete new admission files within a week of arrival, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
  12. Build relationships with external professionals.
  13. Assist in regular quality audits of care plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Medication management and administration experience.
  • Experience working with older people.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achieving this within 12 months.
  • Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
  • Knowledge of the 6 principles of care.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
