Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located conveniently, we have a strong local reputation. Notably, New Care has had zero agency usage for over 5 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care with staff residents know and trust. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership to the care team and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time role offering an excellent hourly rate of £13.75. Shift times are 07:45 - 20:00, with alternate weekends off. To apply, you must have experience in medication management and administration.
Role Responsibilities:
- Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
- Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
- Be a role model demonstrating person-centred care.
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.
- Manage the delivery of personalised care according to residents' care plans during your shift.
- Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
- Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through accurate care plans.
- Maintain correctly written records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
- Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure sufficient and safe staffing levels.
- Ensure that all new admission files are completed within one week of arrival, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
- Build relationships with external professionals.
- Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in medication management and administration.
- Experience working with older people.
- NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement of this within the first 12 months of employment.
- Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of older people's care needs.
- Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and confidence.
