The Vacancy

Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a varied portfolio of clients. We provide market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements.

We are seeking a Team Leader for our Data Journey team in Birmingham, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.

Role Overview

You will lead a team focused on Data Journey projects, including de-risking activities, data analysis, benefit rectification, GMPe calculations, and data cleansing. Your responsibilities include work planning, project delivery, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign work to team members, managing capacity and ensuring quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates to clients and trustees.
  • Estimate fees and timelines for projects.
  • Serve as the main contact for client managers and project leads.
  • Improve service quality through automation and process enhancements.
  • Follow complaint procedures and report issues promptly.
  • Escalate complex queries and errors appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines, procedures, and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in pension administration, including DB, DC, and CARE schemes.
  • Strong awareness of UK pension legislation and industry best practices.
  • Experience in data projects is preferred.
  • Client-focused experience in pension administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pension systems like UPM.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with a collaborative approach.

Professional qualifications such as the Pension Management Institute membership are desirable but not essential.
