Brhw in Preston is seeking a proactive Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality care for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations to ensure safety and person-centred support.

The role focuses on staff development, regulatory compliance (CQC, H&S, safeguarding), recruitment, performance management and building strong relationships with families and professionals.

Qualifikationen

• Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health conditions.
• Strong understanding of CQC, H&S, and Safeguarding regulations.
• Experience working in complex care environments.
• Confident in people management, team leadership, and performance management.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and IT skills.
• Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Aufgaben

• Support the Service Manager with day-to-day management of the service.
• Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and operates in line with individuals' assessed needs.
• Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance (CQC, H&S, Safeguarding) and contribute to internal audits.
• Support with recruitment, onboarding, induction, and training of new staff.
• Manage supervisions, appraisals, and day-to-day performance of team members.
• Promote a positive and transparent working culture and model best practice across the service.
• Ensure person-centred care plans are regularly reviewed, up to date, and reflective of individual needs.
• Provide direct care and support when needed and lead the consistency of care across the service.
• Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including families, healthcare professionals, and commissioners.
• Monitor and support financial performance, including rota management, petty cash control, and budgeting tasks.
• Use internal systems including PeopleHR, Deputy, Nourish, Radar, Iplicit, and JobTrain to maintain accurate records.
