Qualifications

Children Services - Team Leader

Looking for a rewarding career where you can truly make an impact? Are you looking for the next step in your career? We're hiring Team Leaders for our Residential Children’s Home in Matlock!

Location: Matlock DE4

Job Types: Full-Time (across a full rota pattern)

Salary: Up to £29,720 - £37,852.80 p.a (£13.25 - £17.16 P/hr)

*Based on an average of 40 hours per week inclusive of 4 sleep-ins per month

The Role:

  1. Assist with the care of our children and young people aged 12-17 – ensuring that a homely environment is maintained. Contributing to meeting each child’s physical, emotional, social and educational needs.
  2. Build positive relationships with children and support their development – whilst ensuring that they are kept safe.
  3. Work within a team to advocate for children's needs
  4. Mentor and develop less experienced staff

Our Ideal Candidate will:

  1. Have their level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma or relevant qualification
  2. Either hold or be willing to work towards a Management qualification preferred
  3. Have a genuine desire to improve lives and promote self-esteem
  4. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and empathy
  5. Stay calm under pressure and work flexibly
  6. Have leadership qualities and experience of mentoring and supporting less experienced staff
  7. Be willing to learn and go the extra mile
