Team Leader Childrens Residential Care
Location: Tyldesley, Wigan
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week (24/7 shift pattern)

Were seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our residential care team supporting vulnerable young people in Tyldesley.

This home is registered to provide care and accommodation for up to two young people (mixed gender), aged 1117 and specialises in supporting those with emotional and behavioural difficulties and complex needs. Located in Wigan, Greater Manchester, the home is a spacious two-storey terrace house offering a warm, welcoming environment. It is light, airy, and decorated to a high standard, with quality furnishings throughout.

Key Responsibilities

Lead shifts and support staff in delivering high-quality care

Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of young people

Manage daily operations in the absence of the Registered Manager

Oversee inductions, staff supervision, and team performance

Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and care regulations

Requirements

Essential: Experience in childrens residential care

Essential: Diploma Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Strong understanding of safeguarding and The Childrens Homes Regulations (2015)

Confident leader, flexible with a 24/7 rota

Full UK driving licence
