Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Wisbech based children’s homes for Residential Team Leaders! We are looking for caring and compassionate Team Leaders who wish to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people by leading support workers through example.

We offer a basic salary of £29, plus sleep-in payments (based on 8-10 sleep ins per month), paid annual leave, and a rota-based schedule. The role involves long hours, sleep ins, and working on holidays including Christmas and New Year, which is rewarding when celebrating with the children.

The shifts vary depending on the home and include long hours and sleep ins, which are essential.

Job role
  • Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Planning team rotas and supporting the Deputy and Home Manager in meetings and appointments
  • Assisting in implementing the Statement of Purpose
  • Carrying out tasks as directed by management
  • Supervising in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
  • Welcoming a diverse culture in the home
  • Creating a safe, family-like environment for the children
Requirements
  • You must be 21 or older due to Ofsted regulations
  • Driving is essential due to the locations of the homes
  • At least six months’ experience in children’s residential care
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification
