Overview

At EveryDay Care – a social enterprise wholly owned by Age UK North Tyneside – we’re passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care that empowers individuals to live life to the fullest. We are now looking to appoint Team Leaders and Area Coordinators to join our Care at Home service. Both roles are central to ensuring we provide a consistent, high-quality service to individuals by leading and organising staff teams to achieve continuity of care, independence, and dignity for every customer.

Roles available: Team Leader & Area Coordinator

Location: Across North Tyneside

Hours: Full-time

Salary: £24,837 – £26,452

As part of our leadership team, you will:

  • Lead, organise and motivate staff to deliver excellent, person-centred care.
  • Assist managers in ensuring effective and efficient provision of care services.
  • Develop and review customer service plans to meet changing needs.
  • Support and mentor Personal Support Assistants (PSAs) to deliver safe, high-quality care.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing and social connections for individuals.
  • Be flexible and proactive, including covering on-call duties where required.

At Team Leader level, you will have day-to-day supervisory responsibility for a team of PSAs, ensuring services at locations such as Weetslade Court run smoothly. There is also the possibility of combining this leadership role with direct work as a PSA.

At Area Coordinator level, you will take on wider responsibility across North Tyneside, supporting Team Leaders and Area Managers, managing rotas, and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.

Requirements
  • A Health and Social Care qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a social or health care setting.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2010.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to supervise, support, and motivate staff.
  • IT literacy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferably, a Health & Safety qualification and experience with on-call duties.
