Job description

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our Alutray Processing team at our manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. Your role as a Team Leader is to guide and oversee the efficient operation of your area while supporting your team to achieve their day-to-day objectives and contribute to the overall success of IPN.

Responsibilities

1. Working Safely: Work in a safe manner at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures and raise any concerns appropriately.
2. Facilitating Teamwork: Create an environment where team members can collaborate, communicate, and work together towards common goals.
3. Team Culture: Meet and greet at the start of shifts, provide regular updates, praise good work, and give clear directions on tasks and changes.
4. Task Assignment: Assign tasks based on team members' skills and strengths to achieve goals efficiently.
5. Daily Management: Monitor and assess team performance, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and identify improvement opportunities.
6. Problem Solving and Decision-Making: Address issues related to team, production, quality, or safety, escalating when necessary.
7. Communication: Keep the team informed and engaged about objectives, expectations, progress, and changes.
8. Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to processes and guidelines.
9. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of ongoing process and productivity improvements and idea sharing.
10. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and document team activities and achievements.
11. Training Support: Support the delivery of training and buddying for new starters during their first 12 weeks to ensure successful onboarding.

Compensation & Benefits

• £16.85 per hour plus night shift allowance of £1.99.
• Shift pattern: nights - 3 on, 3 off, 3 on, 5 off; 12-hour shifts.
