About The Role

We are looking for experienced care team leader to join a core team supporting an individual in their own flat at our residential service in Doune.

Position: Team Leader - Adult Supported Living

Location: Deanston, Doune (FK16)

Hours: Full time, a minimum of 2 shifts per week

WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.

About the person you will support

He likes to be busy all day and has visited lots of places all over Scotland. Loves going on holidays including wee caravan trips. Driving will be a key part of the role as they have their own car for transport. In addition, he likes:

  • Bowling
  • Early mornings (my team start at 6am – 6pm)
  • Arts and crafts
  • Eating out
About you

Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?

You will need to be adaptable, flexible, with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our team. It is essential:

  • To hold an SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Have previous experience supporting people with challenging behavior and/or learning disabilities
  • Hold a valid driving licence

The role
  • To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service

A stunning manor situated in the picturesque village of Deanston, Doune. The service benefits from large grounds on the edge of the village, close to local amenities.

The service offers a high standard of nursing care and supports people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs including challenging behaviour.

The home provides 3 individual and independent suites accommodating up to 6 in each, with a further two studio apartments on the ground floor.
