Job Summary

WWL 0-19 Universal Children's Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Community Public Health Nurse. This is an opportunity for a SCPHN qualified Health Visitor or School Nurse with substantial post-qualification experience to join our leadership team, supporting Operational and Clinical Leadership. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, organized, and hardworking public health nurse to help lead our 0-19 integrated teams in delivering high-quality services to families, children, and young people in our care.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other team leaders and partner agencies to lead and implement new processes and pathways, fostering innovation and supporting children and families in new ways. Our team leaders are currently piloting co-production working; this role will involve working across the Operational and Clinical leadership team.

This is a full-time position - 37.5 hours per week, working flexibly from Monday to Friday.

An Enhanced DBS check with Children's and Adults' Barred List checks will be obtained during pre-employment screening.

Main Duties of the Job

The applicant should have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and autonomously. They will need to motivate, educate, and promote the team across the 0-19 skill mix in Wigan and work with wider stakeholders, including children, parents, and carers.

As a Team Leader with Operational and/or Clinical lead responsibilities, you will support the Healthy Child Programme and the Senior Management team.
