Job summary

Mountain Warehouse in York City is recruiting a Team Leader to guide a frontline retail team, drive customer service excellence and oversee daily store operations. You will coach staff, manage stock and visuals, and help achieve sales KPIs in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.77) with a focus on training, leadership development and a community-minded store experience for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading retail teams and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members to meet targets.
• Experience in visual merchandising and maintaining shop floor standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate staff to achieve KPIs.

• Prioritise Health & Safety, safeguarding the wellbeing of your team and customers.

Sales & Performance:

• Motivate your team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Identify growth opportunities for team members and suggest strategies for their development.

Customer Experience:

• Set the standard for exceptional customer service and ensure it’s delivered consistently.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Represent the Mountain Warehouse brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Build connections within the local community, enhancing the store’s personal and welcoming atmosphere.
