A leading contract research organization is looking for a Team Leader in Whitehaven. In this role, you will support site operations, improve team performance, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates should have relevant animal-related qualifications and strong leadership skills. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
The Team Leader is a key frontline leadership role that supports the Site Supervisor in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring team performance is aligned with site goals, and helping to maintain an efficient and safe working environment. While the Team Leader works under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, they are responsible for the direct oversight and coaching of frontline team members, ensuring that operations run smoothly on a shift-by-shift basis.
The role focuses on execution, team development, and collaboration with other site leadership functions, while promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement within the team. The Team Leader is a visible presence on the floor, actively helping resolve issues, maintain high standards, and ensure that tasks are completed effectively and on time.
While they will still be expected to take ownership of team-related tasks and responsibilities, their involvement in strategic activities will be limited compared to the Site Supervisor.
