Job description

Residential Children’s Home Team Leader

Location: Lancaster

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 40 hours per week

Salary: £27,803.20 basic, with potential to earn up to £34,523.20 including sleep-in payments (£70 per sleep-in, average 6–8 per month)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join a small, family-feel residential children’s home supporting up to four young people aged 8–18 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

You will play a key role in leading the team, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where young people can thrive. Duties include supporting the Registered Manager, supervising staff, managing shifts, and ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted requirements.

Requirements:

Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People (or equivalent) – essential

Experience in a residential childcare setting

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

Full UK driving licence
