A leading residential care provider in the UK is looking for a dedicated Team Leader for a small children’s home supporting young people with special needs. The role involves leading a team, supervising staff, and ensuring high standards of care. Candidates must have a Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and experience in a residential setting. Residential Children’s Home Team Leader
Location: Lancaster
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – 40 hours per week
Salary: £27,803.20 basic, with potential to earn up to £34,523.20 including sleep-in payments (£70 per sleep-in, average 6–8 per month)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join a small, family-feel residential children’s home supporting up to four young people aged 8–18 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
You will play a key role in leading the team, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where young people can thrive. Duties include supporting the Registered Manager, supervising staff, managing shifts, and ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted requirements.
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People (or equivalent) – essential
Experience in a residential childcare setting
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
