Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Team Leader to work with offenders in custody, helping them prepare for work upon release.

The role involves leading and mentoring a dispersed team of career advisors working with individuals serving custodial sentences. The goal is to engage them in learning, training, and employment opportunities so they are ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.

You’ll Need To Have

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with offenders
  • Experience in line managing people to help them fulfill their potential at work

We are especially interested in applicants with experience managing teams that assist offenders or other vulnerable groups in moving forward in their lives. If you can connect with people to help them progress, work in a prison environment, adhere to quality and compliance standards, and work towards individual targets, we would love to hear from you.

We will provide all necessary training to help you succeed in this role. Our teams are supportive and friendly to new starters, assisting them in settling into their new position.

Qualifications

The minimum qualification requirement is a Career Information Advice and Guidance Level 6 Diploma or working towards it.

Salary range: £29,396 – £33,958 per annum.

Interviews will be conducted on 28/03/2025 via MS Teams.
