Smollan is seeking a Weekend Retail Team Leader to oversee sampling activations across East Anglia, guiding a small team of brand ambassadors with hands-on coaching and strong relationship-building with Store Managers.

You will lead in a fast-paced retail setting, ensuring high-quality brand experiences while driving performance and engagement. This role offers a fixed 14-hour weekend schedule, travel with expenses covered, and KPI-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing, coaching, or training a team (retail, customer service, hospitality, or events background).
• Hands-on approach with confidence leading in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Reliable and flexible to work 14 hours across 2 weekend days (Fri/Sat/Sun).
• Valid Driver’s Licence & Vehicle essential for traveling across the territory (expenses reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sampling Team across East Anglia, supporting the Regional Field Manager.
• Welcome new starters and provide hands‑on coaching to help staff reach their potential.
• Build rapport with Store Managers to ensure seamless sampling activations.

£14.93/hr base (£10,867.80/yr) + Bonus up to £16.32/hr OTE (Up to £1,013/yr OTE) + travel expenses paid

14 hours per week (2 days worked across Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)

Working for Smollan as Team Leader to support the Regional Field Manager on our Sampling team, ensuring consistent delivery throughout, and inspiring & creating a culture of coaching and people development within the region.

Your Mission: Lead with Passion

Supporting the Regional Field Manager, you will be the "boots on the ground" leader for our Sampling Team across the region.

• Inspire & Develop: Welcome new starters and provide hands‑on coaching to help existing staff reach their full potential.
• Cultivate Relationships: Build "first‑name" rapport with Store Managers to ensure our sampling activations run flawlessly.
• Quality Control: Use your sharp eye for detail to guarantee every brand experience meets our elite standards.
• Drive Performance: Instil a "can‑do" culture, ensuring every activity delivers a massive return for our customers.

What We Are Looking For:

• People Leadership: Experience in managing, coaching, or training a team (retail, customer service, hospitality, or events background).
• Hands‑on Approach: Confidence leading in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Reliability & Flexibility: Available to work 14 hours across 2 weekend days (Fri/Sat/Sun).
• Valid Driver’s Licence & Vehicle: Essential for traveling across the territory ( expenses fully reimbursed ).

Experience in sampling, promotions, or FMCG is a bonus, but strong team leadership and communication skills are what matter most!
