This is a new crisis service, staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. It includes 6 beds for short-stay accommodation, a drop-in service, and a phone support service.

This is a new crisis service, operational 24/7, providing short-stay beds, a drop-in, and phone support services.
As a Recovery Worker, you'll be integral to the service's daily operations, focusing on recovery-oriented care for individuals in crisis.
The main purpose is to support the Service Manager in delivering a high-quality, person-centered service to help individuals manage and de-escalate mental health crises in a safe, friendly, non-clinical setting. You will lead and support the team, ensuring high performance standards aligned with the service’s vision and values. Responsibilities include recruitment, coaching, supervising staff, monitoring performance, reporting data for stakeholders, representing the service in meetings, adhering to policies, maintaining health and safety standards, managing budgets, overseeing record keeping in line with GDPR, liaising with health professionals, safeguarding, and maintaining premises.
The role requires flexibility to work remotely when needed, including evening and weekend shifts, and participation in on-call duties.
You should demonstrate relevant experience, good knowledge, and values suitable for working in mental health. Excellent communication skills, leadership experience (supervision/mentoring), safeguarding knowledge, GDPR compliance, and health and safety awareness are essential. Management training will be provided to support your development. Confidence with IT applications, ability to deliver therapeutic interventions in a person-centered manner, and the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly are also required.
