Job summary

Eaton Corporation in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on manufacturing professional to support LEAN initiatives and maintain quality, cost and delivery targets. You will work within a team to ensure OT C and OTD of batches while promoting a safe working environment and continual improvement.

The role requires strong safety discipline, IT proficiency, and a collaborative approach to deploy EBS tools and lead basic team activities, with room for development in leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable commitment to Health and Safety.
• Engineering background preferred or advantageous.
• Understanding of quality requirements for manufacturing.
• Experience working effectively within a team.
• Leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Commitment to promoting EBS tools and principles.
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• To ensure manufacturing of parts meets customer requirements with quality, cost and delivery targets, supporting LEAN activities and continual improvement.
• Manage Health and Safety in area.
• Promote housekeeping and a clean, safe working environment.
• Support deployment of Eaton Business System (EBS) tools and techniques.
• Engage in problem solving (5 Why), MRB participation and traceability.
• Sign off HRxHrs, update capacity charts and manage capacity loading with planning and logistics.
• Book off operations on Job Cards and liaise with internal customers & suppliers.
• Ensure On Time to Cycle (OTC) and On Time Delivery (OTD) of batches.
• Support training and development, sign off Operator Standard Work and monitor team performance.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the manufacture of parts are in accordance with the customer requirements to the specified quality, cost and delivery targets, to ensure the ongoing LEAN activities proceed, and maintain continual improvement.
• Manage Health and Safety in area
• Housekeeping - promote a clean and safe working environment
• Continuous improvement - understand and support deployment of Eaton Business System (EBS) tools and techniques
• Quality - Self-certification, attending daily MRB, problem solving (5 Why), scrap and rework procedures and monitoring, adhering to traceability requirements
• Production: Signing off HrxHrs, updating of capacity charts, capacity loading (using Hejunkas where in place) working with planning and Logistics
• Booking off operations on Job Cards
• Liaison with internal Customers & Suppliers
• Ensuring On Time to Cycle (OTC) and Delivery (OTD) of batches in area
• Ensure Nil Hour Return activities are completed in a timely manner
• Facilitate Team Meetings and signing off Operator Standard Work
• Team performance - Training, monitoring, setting daily targets for performance including appraisals and goal setting
• Work prioritising– own and others
• Training Plan administration for relevant area
• Ensure Teams adherence to required company Policies: sickness absence, time, and attendance etc.
• Timecard authorisation
