Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Production manages or assists with various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging) to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
• Plan, direct, monitor, and/or operate machine tools, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
• Identify needs, plan, prioritize, and manage production line or machine maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
• May liaise with other departments as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources.
• Supervises para-professional employees. Responsibilities typically include: setting day-to-day operational objectives for the team; solving problems that may be difficult but typically are not complex; ensuring policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.
