Job summary

Change Grow Live Lancashire is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to manage a multidisciplinary team in Preston. The role focuses on safeguarding, leadership, and delivering high-quality health and social care services to vulnerable individuals.

You will recruit, train, and supervise staff while promoting best-practice and ensuring policy compliance. The post offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), a permanent contract, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, wellness initiatives,

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
• Significant experience leading teams who work with families where children are subject to social care intervention.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operational line management of a team of staff including supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management and ensuring staff follow policies.
• Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control and opportunities for service users to reach their full potential.
• Work with Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure practices enable identification of at-risk service users and that staff are competent in delivering interventions.
• Support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice and timely feedback.
• Lead on recruitment, selection and induction of staff.

Responsibilities

About the role:

• Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal,performanceand sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to theirroles.

• Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities thatassistservice users reaching their full potential as individuals and communitymembers.

• Work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of service users, children and families who are at risk. Ensure that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to serviceusers.

• Support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice, providingtimelyvalues-basedfeedback.

• Lead on the recruitment,selectionand induction ofstaff.

About you:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevantexperience.

• Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care servicesand delivering services whichevidencehigh performance and qualitystandards.

• Significant experienceof leading teams who work with families where children are subject to social careintervention.

• Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, youngpeople,and safeguarding practice

• Able to lead, inspire and develop ateam.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to use common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 31 to 33 (£36,101.10 - £38,114.53)
