A leading social impact organization is seeking an enthusiastic Team Leader to work with offenders. This role involves leading a team of careers advisors to help offenders prepare for work upon release. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with offenders and possess effective team management skills. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in lives and communities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Team Leader, working with offenders in custody to help them prepare for work on release.
Location: Working across the area with an admin base within one of the North Cluster sites, HMP Drake Hall, HMP Foston Hall, HMP Morton Hall, HMP Nottingham, HMP Ranby, HMP Sudbury
The job involves leading and mentoring a disperse team of careers advisors who are working with people serving custodial sentences, to engage them in learning, training and employment opportunities, so they’re ready to start a new life on release and break the cycle of reoffending.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people and communities.
You’ll need to have :
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with offenders
* Experience of line managing people, to enable them to fulfil their potential at work
We are especially looking for applicants who have experience of managing teams who help offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives. If you’re someone who can really connect with people to help them to progress, work in a prison environment, embrace the quality and compliance requirements of the contract and have the skills to work towards individual targets, we’d love to hear from you.
We’ll give you all the training you need to do the job and to get established in the new role. Our teams are always supportive and friendly towards new starters, to help them to settle into the job.
