We are seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to manage the Inspections Team, delivering a high-quality property inspection service across our dispersed accommodation and emergency hotel contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team delivering property inspections, ensuring compliance with the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
  • Oversee provider performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Minimise voids and ensure properties are promptly brought up to standard.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support homeless households with complex needs.
  • Deliver complex assessments and inspections with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Identify safeguarding risks and support investigations where necessary.
  • Provide high-quality advice and support to service users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to performance monitoring and service improvement.
  • Represent the service in forums and homeless action groups.
  • Respond to complaints and enquiries from councillors, MPs, customers, and advocates.
About the Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you are a resilient and empathetic leader with a strong understanding of housing legislation and the challenges faced by homeless households.

  • Proven experience in property management and inspection.
  • HHSRS trained or willing to work towards qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act, Housing Act, and Welfare/Housing Benefits system.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Experience in safeguarding and risk assessment.
