Key Accountabilities
We are seeking an exceptional leader to expand the Private Bank and Wealth Management presence in East Anglia and surrounding areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving and exceeding team objectives with a focus on commerciality, cost discipline, and risk management.
- Providing sales leadership, developing team strategy, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Driving individual Wealth Managers & Wealth Planners' commercial activities through effective sales management.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the Barclays PBWM brand with key introducers and influencers.
- Supporting client acquisition, servicing, development, and retention to meet business goals.
- Promoting team behavior aligned with the Client Advisory Framework and Barclays Values.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance client experience and increase share of wallet.
- Informing senior management about business opportunities and threats.
The successful candidate will approach this through:
- Monthly 121s using the Wealth Management balanced scorecard.
- Focusing on prospect management and pipeline development.
- Supporting the team in winning new business and removing barriers.
- Creating an engaging environment for client interaction.
- Encouraging proactive advice to clients.
- Leveraging all advice team members, including Wealth Managers, Planners, Investment Advisors, and Mortgage Advisors.
- Driving client service excellence, especially during onboarding and concern resolution.
- Ensuring the right client is matched with the right Wealth Manager.
- Conducting thorough client fact-finding to build deep knowledge and emotional connections.
Person specification:
- Broad experience in financial services, especially in retail regulated products for high net worth clients.
- Ability to establish and maintain operational processes for teams.
- Professional qualifications for supervising FCA-approved persons.
- Competent in performing and supervising regulated activities.
- Experience managing talent and improving team quality through performance management.
- Ability to source and hire new talent.
- High integrity and ability to build positive working relationships quickly.
