Job description

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Cleaning Team Leader to manage and support a team of professional cleaners across multiple sites. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently met, and acting as the main point of contact between the cleaning team and management.. . Key Responsibilities:. . Supervise a team of cleaners to deliver high standards across all sites. Perform regular inspections to ensure all work meets Hygiene Squad’s quality standards. Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members. Maintain cleaning schedules, assign tasks, and manage shift rotas. Ensure all Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding policies are followed. Provide on-site support for deep cleans, emergency cleans, or cover shifts if needed. Report any staff issues, damages, or client concerns promptly. Ensure adequate supplies and stock are available at each location. Liaise with clients or property managers when necessary to handle requests or feedback professionally. . Requirements:. . Previous cleaning experience (2+ years preferred). Experience in a supervisory or team leader role. Ability to lead by example with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Flexible, reliable, and punctual. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and COSHH. DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo a check). . Desirable:. . Experience with commercial, school, or Airbnb cleaning. Basic IT skills (for logging reports, using scheduling apps, or WhatsApp communication). . What We Offer:. .
