Your role

Working within IAG Cargo, the Team Leader will be responsible for providing daily leadership and continuous guidance to your team, ensuring Health and Safety is paramount during all operational and maintenance activities, along with interaction with internal and external customers. You will be performing the following tasks:

  1. Ensuring that Safety is always paramount during all Operational and Maintenance activities.
  2. Conducting quality audits of work and productivity checks, taking appropriate action when required.
  3. Demonstrating a desire to learn and help others in their progression.

Additional responsibilities:

Day Shift

  1. Issue PPM work orders to shifts, close off all PCM and CM’s.
  2. Attend system outages to assist technicians in resolving faults before escalating to Tech Support.
  3. Keep daily reports up-to-date with system issues and handovers, including raising work orders for the night shift.
  4. Step in to cover Duty Managers in their absence.
  5. Attend H&S meetings.

Night shift

  1. Plan the shift PPM maintenance and project work, including handovers from the day shift.
  2. Complete PPM work orders to the required standard.
  3. Send out nightly reports of works completed, including handovers, project work, system issues, etc.

What we expect from you

As a Service Team Leader, you contribute significantly to customer satisfaction, ensuring the continuity of the customer process. You should have an enthusiastic, proactive attitude and be flexible. We expect:

  1. Experience working in airports and/or conveyor systems in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  2. Multiskilled Electro/Mech, at least at senior tech level, with preferred supervisory experience.
  3. Qualifications: Minimum NVQ 3 Electro/Mech; HNC or equivalent preferred.

Nice to have:

  1. 18th Edition (BS 7671 / wiring regs).
  2. Experience in FMCG manufacturing or automated environments.
  3. Experience in training/coaching.
