United Response is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our supported living services in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including Deaf individuals, in both home and community settings.
As a national disability charity, we are committed to ensuring the people we support live fulfilling, independent lives. Our focus is on person-centred, empowering care that enables people to reach their goals.
As a Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of the service while also providing direct, hands-on support. You'll be responsible for supervising staff, managing rotas, overseeing support plans, liaising with families and external agencies, and ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.
You will need to be confident in mentoring team members, have strong organisational and communication skills, and be comfortable using IT systems. You must also hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible with working hours, including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
The people we support in Exeter have a range of needs and interests, and many are active in the local community. Experience supporting Deaf people or a willingness to learn sign language would be highly valued.
