Manufacturing Team Leader - L/Derry - Permanent

Apply today to find out more. Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing production team.
  • Champion health & safety standards.
  • Support the Shift Performance Manager in deploying Lean Manufacturing (WCOM) best practices.
  • Diagnose production issues, take corrective actions, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Keep your team informed about Gainshare metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee quality control inspections, resolve minor issues, and escalate larger concerns.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage team performance through training, development programmes, and regular performance appraisals.
  • Lead team communications, performance presentations, and visual management initiatives.
  • Utilise SAP for problem-solving, scheduling adjustments, and liaising with planning teams for efficiency.
What you'll need for this role:
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • A strong background in electrical engineering.
  • A proven track record of initiative-taking, improving performance, and enhancing health & safety compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts based on business needs.
