Team Leader - Spar Grove Road

Location: 120 Grove Rd, Ballymena BT43 6UB

£14.13 per hour and great benefits. Full-time position available working 30 hours, 4 days per week, within store opening hours (Mon–Sun, 7am–10.30pm) with full flexibility required. Opening, closing and weekend shifts will be expected as part of the role.

A look into the role
Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager, you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and supports the local community.

As a Team Leader you will

  • With the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager, lead the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
  • Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
  • Be a positive role model and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
  • Train, manage workload and support your team while being hands-on in store to ensure resources are in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance, including understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
  • Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.

Skills for Success

  • Minimum criteria: aged 18 or over, plus previous store retail experience, including at least 6 months in a supervisory role leading a team in a customer-focused environment.
  • Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
  • Target driven to help the store achieve business plans/priorities and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to inspire others to do their best for each other and the customer.
