Job description

Team Lead, Supervisor and Senior Clinician School Wellbeing Service

We are looking for a highly skilled senior clinician with experience in leading and delivering CAMHS work in education settings. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering, teaching, and supervising evidence-based practice for children and young people's mental health, with proficiency in CBT. Main responsibilities include:

  1. Team Lead Role: The post holder will be the joint lead clinician in our south locality team, working alongside the educational psychologist. The role involves collaboration with the EP/joint team lead, the team manager, project manager, central CAMHS team managers, head of multi-agency CAMHS, and education and local authority partners.
  2. Line Management and Supervision: Provide weekly supervision to School Wellbeing Practitioners (SWPs) on evidence-based interventions for anxiety, low mood, behavior difficulties, and education-specific interventions. Assist with SWP assessments and support interventions as appropriate. Experience with CBT and knowledge of guided self-help interventions are essential.
  3. Training and Induction: Responsible for the induction program and local training of SWPs and other clinicians.
  4. Referral and Caseload Management: Coordinate referral routes for SWP clinical work and manage caseloads.
  5. Program Development: Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of workshops and training for SWPs.
  6. School Collaboration: Work with schools to establish and review input from the SWS.
