Job summary

CVS Group is seeking a Team Lead Veterinary Nurse at Severn Edge Madeley to lead the nursing team and deliver high-quality patient care across a 40-hour week. The role includes a mix of early and late shifts, with a 12-month fixed-term contract and consideration for 4 or 5 days plus 1 in 4 Saturdays.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership experience, ready to mentor the team, monitor patient recovery, and promote pet wellness in a supportive CVS

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a veterinary setting.
• Strong nursing and people management skills.
• Able to mentor and train junior staff.
• Clinical nursing competence across small animal cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular 1-2-1s with the nursing team.

Life at Severn Edge Vets Madeley

We are looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team and work 40 hours across 4 or 5 days. This will be a mixture of early and later shifts between 8:30am-6:30pm.

Severn Edge Madeley is a thriving small animal practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a large town in Shropshire. With easy access to Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, and Telford, as well as to the M54 for convenient travel to surrounding cities, the practice also benefits from being close to beautiful countryside and areas of outstanding natural beauty. The team prides itself on a positive, open culture where every voice is heard. Nurses are fully utilised in their roles, including Schedule 3 procedures.Ourfacilities include a brand new digital x-ray, giving instant images, and ultrasound, providing youwith the tools you need to deliver outstanding care and we also have vets with advanced practitioner in diagnostic imaging and advanced practitioner with interest in dermatology.

Some of your responsibilities would include:

About you

Our ideal candidate will have had some leadership experience and be confident in both nursing and people skills.
